PTF...Parents & Teachers Partner For Success!

The MGCS PTF meets the first Friday of each month at 8:15 am in youth room.  There are many opportunities to volunteer with events and fundraisers including Charleston Wrap, Teacher Appreciation Week, 5K Committee, and other projects designed to support MGCS.  Please join us!

Cleaning Out Closets or Need Uniforms?

The PTF Kids Closet is located across from the cafeteria and is open during regular school hours.  Check in at the front desk, then drop off gently used items or make selections and leave cash or a check (made out of MGCS PTF) in the envelope provided to cover your purchases.  There are pants, t-shirts, polos, dresses, shorts, jackets, and sweatshirts for sale.  Items remaining at the end of the year are donated to social workers and school counselors in New Hanover County to provide uniforms for children in need.

Parents In Prayer

..and they commanded the people, saying "when you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God,
and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it." Joshua 3:3

As a school family, we want to go "after God's presence" on behalf of the next generation. The Parents in Prayer regular meeting is an invitation for moms, dads, grandparents, etc. to come and pray on Wednesday mornings immediately after drop-off from 8:20 to 9:15 a.m. There is no sign-up to attend and please feel free to leave early if needed.  A prayer list will be made available and we will pray corporately every week that school is in session. Our meeting room is in the main Myrtle Grove Presbyterian church building in room 9/10. Travel past the music room through the double doors, room 9/10 is the first door on the right.

For more information about this ministry, please contact: Rory Streit at rcstreit@att.net or (910) 350-3561.

Box Tops For Education

Our preschool department collects Box Tops for Education.  For every Box Top collected, we receive 10 cents. These funds are used to purchase toys, art supplies, and games for our preschool and after school programs. Please drop off Box Tops at the front desk with Ms. Chapman, in the box on the preschool counter, or in the drop box outside the business office in the second through fourth grade building.

Thank you for your support!  - Pam Noland
