Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ’s

What about tuition?  While tuition covers our entire annual budget, it does not cover the whole cost of a Myrtle Grove Christian School education. Additional funding is used to enhance tuition so that we can meet all the needs of the school within any given year. Please refer to the Annual Fund Distribution section in this brochure for details.

I don't have the resources to make a large gift. Should I still give?   Absolutely. Every gift to the Annual Fund makes a real, tangible difference to the school, however large or small. Your participation is in many ways as important as the level at which you contribute. The percentage of family participation significantly impacts gifts from outside sources.  Most corporations and foundations consider parent participation before donating.

What is your goal this year?  Our goal for the fiscal year 2009-2010 is $110,000 and 100% participation from families, faculty, staff, and board of directors. With help from these constituencies along with alumni, grandparents, corporations, foundations and friends we are confident we will meet our goal by the June 30, 2010 deadline.

Can my gift be matched?  Yes. Many companies will match your gift, thereby increasing your support of the school. Contact your Human Resources department to see if your company has a matching program in place.

How do I make a donation?   You may make a donation directly by check.  Please make your check payable to MGCS and send it to Myrtle Grove Christian School, Development Office, 806 Piner Road, Wilmington, NC  28409.  Gifts of all kinds are welcome, including cash, property, and securities.  Additionally, there are many forms of planned giving (such as bequests, trusts, and annuities) that may be explored.
